How terribly sad to hear that dear Gwen has passed on. She was one right out of the box!
I thought however she had simply been moved into an aged care facility somewhere in Western Broadmeadows.
Please tell me it is not so. I can’t believe that I missed her funeral….and she’d asked me to sing a song at the service.
Can someone please confirm the reports?

A MESSAGE FROM THE HONOURABLE MR. LUCAS W. C. RYAN:
I am, as all modest people are, most indefinitely flattered by your somewhat exaggerated proclamation of my virtues.
I can own to being very good looking, but witty and handsome I cannot.
It is a great sadness that I cannot join your classes and must confess I frequently find myself, buried in a pillow drenched in the salt water of my sorrows.
I was advised by Gwendolyn as she lay dying in the Royal Melbourne Hospital that it was her wish that I embody her persona whenever time allowed and indeed I do very frequently at various clubs and bars around the Melbourne district. She would have been honoured for the brilliant accolade you have issued in her honour. May she rest in peace.
Thank you for your flattery, Mr. Lester, and as always; Best Wishes.
I remain your devoted friend,
The Honourable Mr. Lucas William Clarke Ryan,
with the vested interest of The Honourable Lady Gwendolyn Heasly.
