Ok so here it is a new musical for a new year.
Fame is Aitken Colleges 2007 musical and like all new things I am scarred and yet in a strange way ever so excited. The thought of being up on the stage again makes me happy, and the fact that the cast list is good and the high expectations that the director will have only leads to the conclusion that the production will be above anything we have done before. Although I missed the first rehearsell I am sure that it will not hinder me to much, as the rehersals have only just began.
Fame is not the only musical or stage production that I hope to be part of this year, no. even though we are less than a month into the year I have been lucky enough to send off for information for two other productions, The Victorian Operas production of the operatic addaptation of Hanns Christian Andersons the Snow Queen. If all go’s well then an adition for Into The Woods looks like a go.
I will keep this Blog uptodate with all of my theatre ongoing

Ok Love sounded like a great play, and most of the class agreed that it sounded good and the issues and theams were of importance to students. That was untill we were informed that Love, actually went beyond that into 3-somes, how can a blurb about a play forget to metion this, blah blah blah group sex blah blab blah is what the blurb should have told, but insted it covered it up and gave hope were there was none.
Â
Instead we are left with 100, a play that interested the class to a marginal extent, and uses bamboo sticks, a play that i can not even recall, something about woman being pregnat. A play with a compleaty female cast, this may be a problem for me, unless i have a sex change, or go on that show, theres somthing about Jarrod. Dont get me wrong I love theatre class but i would not swap genders for it.
The last play is After Dinner, written by Andrew B, this is my Fave play off the list, as it sound interesting, and also i have read bits of his past work such as speaking in toungs, and i loved how it was written and how the charecters seemed to flow in a web of reality and life. It is a play like this that grabs my attention, and draws me in, a play that has meening and depth in this sometimes harsh world.
